Well Hello Friends,
First: Sorry it took so long to get back on line trying to get settled takes a few. We are here in the wonderfull village of Lubec. My house was more cluttered than I remembered it to be. So trying to get rid of the old junk is going to be tricky. Thank the good lord for fireplaces. Seccond: I forgot my password. Too much on my mind to remember. Now I am looking for work befor my money runs out. Lots of nice people stoping in to say Howdy and see how we are setteling. We are still looking for a close bus station or bush pilot near by for my wifes friend to visit. Later much later. One of our friends that was helping us move up thought he could handle working all day than driving the 10 hours it took to get here. Never the less he hit a guard rail falling a sleep on rt 95. He is alright but his cars not so pretty. My wifes other friend tried to get us to let her stay here. Did not happen. I have enough mouths to feed and that girl can eat. Our first night here I got 6 pizzas for the 6 of us. I got 2 slices, my wife got 1, my son 2, the baby 1, our friend the expert driver got 3 and all the rest went into the human dumpster. I think she ate 4 1/2 pizzas in one sitting. Glad shes gone. Any who we are fine and looking forword to making friends.

Welcome home to Maine Ed. Glad you all arrived safely. I hope you get settled in comfortably and you are all well and healthy. My husband and I have been living away for a little over a year and are looking into a move to Lubec. I'll be checking in with ya with a few questions about the area from time to time if you don't mind. Never thought I'ld miss the winters up there like I do! Get your woodpile set and your cupboards full now while the weather is good, then you can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the fall and winter

Congrats, Ed! So glad you got moved and are settling in. That is so cool that people are just "stopping by" to welcome you. That would not happen in a million years in Texas!!
I can't wait!

Maine is the greatest state for peace and quite. People are friendly and trustworthy. I can leave my doors open and go to the store and all my things will still be here. The towns are beautyfull. Like everyone says its "the way life should be"
