Post Driving Route to Maine

Hello-
My husband and I will be driving home to Maine from a trip to Austin, Tx (only flown before never driven). Does anyone have a good route to get from the middle of the US to the Bangor area?

70 to 80 to 90 to 95

Well okay you may need to go from 90 to 495 then 95. Once you go past the bridge in Kittery you will have to go through two toll booths, but otherwise you can keep the speedometer at 75 or better till you get to exit 187.

Avoid Virginia, they have just passed Soviet-style traffic laws, possible fines of three grand or more for incidents as serious as no turn signal, 10 over, and looking crosseyed at a state legislator.
Oh, and radar detectors are illegal there too. George Washington would be proud of his homeboiz.

Otherwise, enjoy!

My wife bought me a GPS unit for Valentine's Day. I won't leave my driveway without it!

Dwatted Wabbit, the new VA traffic laws (for NOW, anyway...) are only for drivers licensed in the state and don't apply to outsiders just passing through.
