Several of Stephen King's pics have been shot here but not all were 'based' in Maine...all of 'Pet Semetary' was shot here, mostly in the Ellsworth area...parts of 'Creepshow 2' and 'Graveyard Shift were shot in Bangor....Bangor International Airport was used extensively for 'The Langoliers' mini-series.

How about Stephen King's "Riding The Bullet"? I believe it was set in Maine but not sure if it was filmed in Maine.

Empire Falls, hands down. It was filmed in Skowhegan, Maine. A downtown restaurant was turned into the Empire Grill just for the movie. It's still there and doing a booming tourist business.

Default Mooovies!

Hey! What about "The Whales of August"--if I've got that right, wasn't it Chebeague or Peaks? AND in 2004, a small indie was done on Bailey Island, "Four Corners of Suburbia." Made it all the way to a gigunda festival in LA, then a series of smaller festivals in both US and Europe--has been extremely well received on the festival circuit, but alas, no wide distribution yet. Check out "Four Corners of Suburbia" on web for latest. Some chance it will be shown in Brunswick this year, if only to thank the locals who were SO amazing!
