Kittery Shipyard is to get $10M for upgrades
I saw an article about some money going to Kittery for upgrades in infrastructure.
Some body should see a few jobs out of that

Does anyone have anymore info on the kittery shipyard getting 10m for upgrades ???? My son in law is retiring from 22yrs in the navy and wants to move to kittery.......hoping to get a job there also interested in a navy commissary in that area

I heard the shipyard is in danger of huge budget cuts if the dems/repubs cant agree on spending cuts and sweeping cuts are made by the super committee. As far as the commissary goes, its not very popular. New hampshire, 2 minutes away is tax free so prices tend to be lower at Walmart than the commissary.

As always you have to shop around to find the best prices.
Even the commissary in Bangor is that way. Some things are lower priced on-base and some things are not.
