Here are his sneakers

Police have asked anyone with information about the boy or the truck to call Maine State Police in Gray, Maine, at (207) 657-3030

News conference- with information about truck seen leaving area as well as reporter questions

The boy - believed to be between 4 and 6-years-old; had dirty blond hair, blue eyes & was wearing a gray colored-camouflage Faded Glory-brand hooded sweatshirt, along with tan-colored khaki pants and "Lightning McQueen" black sneakers, according to State Police. Police said early Sunday that they had no reports of any missing children in either New Hampshire or Maine.

The witness who spotted the truck saw a Naval insignia of some kind on the license plates, according to McDonough, who said a "thought process" and "intuition" is leading him and his team of investigators to look at Naval bases around the region for clues. The truck being sought is a Navy blue Toyota Tacoma pickup with an extended cab and a cap covering the entire back.

Authorities in southern Maine are working to identify the body of a young boy that was found dumped near a remote dirt road over the weekend.

Investigators believed the little boy's body was intentionally placed near a dirt and gravel stretch off Route 4 in South Berwick, near the New Hampshire border, sometime Saturday.

The body was found by a woman who lives in the wooded area and was taking a walk at around 5 p.m.

She spotted a blanket at the end of a driveway and then discovered the body nearby, cops said.

Police believe the body had been there for eight or nine hours.

This is so terrible. Poor little guy. It is very odd that the Police have been unable to identify him.It doesn't make the parent/parents look very good IMO.

Heart breaking story. A little boy tossed out on the side of the road.....and no one has reported him missing. He was well dressed and well nourished and clean. Someone somewhere must miss him....some one must have noticed he was gone.

I just read the story.......

thank goodness that small town folk up here in the sticks are attentive and aware of strange vehicles.....someone saw it....got a good description.....saw the driver was a woman.....and took a walk up the road to see what they could see. That level of awareness and curiosity....is what is helping police investigate and hopefully solve the case.
