Remember when 8 am was first thing in the morning instead of late in the morning?

It is so nice in the Summer with the trees all leafed out and the water burbling past. They have a gazebo set up on the deck as well so they can sit out there even when it is raining and have Supper or just relax in the evening. It is about 20 feet from the deck to the bank down to the river.

Not with 4 boys in the house. 8 AM has always been late.

Girls are the same way. I don't know how they stay up til 2-3 am during a sleepover and get up at 5:30 am as usual. When I was a teenager 10 am was about right.

Looking forward to these days again. Just organizing the photos I have on the computer and ran across this one. The two oldest out on Mattawamkeag Lake last summer.

Took this one a little bit ago (Just before Christmas if I remember right. It is the V plow that Washburn uses to plow the wind breaks in the fields, and for knocking back drifts in town once in a while. We've gat a lot more snow after this was taken.
Just another reason not to drive like the Devil is closing fast from behind in the winter. How would you like to crown the hill and find this just on the other side making a turn into a field.
