You wouldn't believe the number of lobster trap buoys just off this light. There must be thousands of them.

In the summer of my twelfth year, I read a book about every state in the union. The books told the basic facts, with very few pictures. I love your site the pictures are just, well I feel as if I have visited the state. Reading your site has been fun. I feel as if I have met some of you. Hope you do not mind me stopping by from time to time.

You know you have something special when the ocean is as blue as the sky. I absolutely LOVE how they just run together in this photo from our trip - like there is no boundary between heaven and earth!

Me and a friend went up to Camden Hills last weekend. It was his last weekend before he went back to College so we decided to fight the tourist. Here are some pics.
I could not find my camera so these are taken with a lousy camera phone. (I really hate that thing)
From Mt. Magunticook (spelling?)
Then the MUCH more crowded Mt Battie.

I don't think I've shared this one yet...can someone remind me - is this Boothbay Harbor? I didn't make enough notes, I guess!

That's exactly how I feel about Maine and have about one thousand pictures .... that spell it out.
There is no place like it.
