Mom and Dad have hundreds of birds that show up at their house everyday at their feeders. Everything from Hummingbirds, to regular ol' grackles. I have seen a couple types of Finches and Grosbeaks there at the same time and that is quite colorful. Nastiest bird they had was a Chickadee that looked like it had just stepped out of a clothes dryer, all puffed up and just a bad attitude. That little thing would chase away the Bluejays for crying out loud, even the squirrels would hold off until he was gone.

I don't check this thread very often, since it's even more depressing to see photos of Maine when we can't live there yet. (Even if the photo is of a flower or bird, that flower or bird are in Maine!) I did peek today though, and I just wanted to tell everyone what a beautiful job you're all doing with these pictures! They're just gorgeous! Thanks for posting, and I can't wait to add to the thread with photos of my own in the not-too-distant future!
