I won't even pretend to be a decent photographer or know how to upload these correctly, however... here are just a few of Deer Isle / Stonington that I took the other day on my way out to the island.
It was a beautiful trip up on a spectacular day. The view from Catterpillar Hill was gorgeous and the causeway was equally pretty. Stonington Harbor could not have been more beautful. It was so nice to see one of the Windjammers in there.
I think that if you click on them they may be okay.

Okay, I'll be brave and try it again. Check out this Albino buck hanging out in the yard. The other one out on the ledge appears to be a nice doe. It's nice to see that quite a few of them made it through the winter in spite of the coyotes.

Thanks moughie, everyone come check out the ones I put on my CD page of the 4th of July parade. It's a hoot! As I had mentioned earlier, there are no spectators- we're all marching!

I love this thread!!!!
I have gone back and looked at all the pics and all I can say is WOW!!! These pics are so wonderful it makes me want to weep. We are so blessed to be here.
When we helped my sister move to Maine a few years ago, I fell in love with this state. From the beaches in York, to the farms of Dexter, and all places in between, I feel as if I have finally found 'home'. The people, the seasons, the spectacular views, even the weather! I love that local kids can cut through my yard (or even play in it) and I don't worry they will destroy it! I have left my doors unlocked and it's okay. My kids fit in and like it here too!
This IS how life should be!!! Here are some of my own shots. Please enjoy!
1-yes, the sky is THAT blue!
2-my own little piece of heaven
3-wild flowers
4-last year's sunflower- made it over the 14' mark!
