I especially like the Black Fly Report

Black flies bring in the most hits. People from 18 countries have Googled black flies and come to MNN. Isn't that wild! Frank (founder and previous publisher) uploaded a black fly video.

Yes they are. He lives in Aroostook county. If you have a high speed internet connection I highly recommend his emails. We've been watching bear cubs grow all summer thanks to his trail cam and emails. We've also watched hawks from hatch to flight. He has farming photos that are very interesting. I haven't seen the wind farm in person yet but I've been able to see closeups through his photos.

Very nice pics......the bald eagle with moon is amazing. Calendars are a risky project for photogs, you know, good for only a year or 18 months. You can support him by buying one, great xmas gift for someone..ayup

Back to the lighthouse theme...BTW if your a lighthouse freak like me you have to check out the song by Nickel Creek..."Lighthouse Tale"....The vid was filmed in Portland. I thought about postng a link to the vid but it's too old but here are the lyrics
Nickel Creek, The Lighthouse's Tale Lyrics
This lighthouse, Spring Point, is one of 4 that guide ships into Casco Bay then a sharp left to get into Portland Harbor.

Very nice pic, MRV. Are you shooting digital or film? If film, what kind/speed? The colors are very nice. Here's my lighthouse shot. Cheap digital point and shoot.
