Makes me want to book a ticket home and fire up the sleds! Mine is still there at my sons house. I guess I could still handle a week up in the county mid Feb, I'll go price airfare now!

First Day of Winter
It's the first day of winter, and that thought, coupled with the 19" of snow in our backyard (a record-setting December snow in the Washington DC metro area), has me looking back even more fondly on our Maine vacation this August.
This picture was taken from the side of the road, heading back to Lincoln from the West Quoddy Light. I don't know which road - 189 maybe, or a road of Rt. 1 (I really need to start writing these things down!). Anyway...
