View from the promenade

These were taken after a long day of house hunting with my 2 youngest, my nephew, brother, and husband. We loved the house we saw near the Eastern Promenade in Portland but when we crested the hill and saw this view we were sold. Nail biting, fingers crossed, the kids should be starting the school year in Maine.

Elcarim....your family is beautiful! I've got to get my Mac hooked up to the external drive--where the pics are--and I'll start posting too! GREAT pics guys...I think we need to have 7th Gen make, at the very least, a daily contribution to this thread!

Here here, 7th Gen! I also wanted to ask MRV what camera and film you are using. Your shots are great and the colors are vibrant. I'm going to invest in new equipment when we get moved so I can go back to photography classes and finish my studies. BTW, do you know of any good schools in the mid-coast area? Thanks!

Nice equipment! The camera I mean!! Handsome fellow too. I can't wait to learn to "snowshoe" and snow ski, and snowmobile, and kayak, and all those other outdoor sports I've never gotten to explore. I'm already shopping for some good hiking boots!

One of the finest schools of photography in the country is in the mid-coast area
Maine Photographic Workshops

I shoot serious images with my old trusty Nikon FM with good slide or B&W film. I also use a cheap digital point and shoot, a Kodak Z760. It has a genuine Schneider lens so it takes great pics.

Here is a B&W shot of downtown Portland.

The good ones are always taken, though.

Stunning photo! I love how the moon reflects off the shoreline. I'm hoping to finish out my photography training and combine that with my writing. Maybe I'll actually have a winning combination then! Thanks.
