I've read about the carriage trails in downeast magazine-now I've seen them. Well, a bit anyway.

Can't think of anything more peaceful than walking through the woods in winter, especially with a dog!

Thanks all. Acadia is great in Winter. It is quiet, far fewer people, and a different beauty from the other seasons. Kelley was so happy with the snow she ran up ahead and back more than I have ever seen her run.

Most of the park loop road is closed in winter but is open to snowmobiles ( and walkers and skiers)
