Ribbets - Sorry for the loss of your friend. How wonderful you were able to open your home to another Lab sister.

Sorry to hear about your friend, but glad his dog is such good hands. Your dogs are so cute. I had a yellow lab named Huey, I called him baby Huey, remember that cartoon? He passed away in 08, I miss him terribly.

7th Generation...your photos...just incredible.

The one with the egg, a "simple" photo...made me hitch in a breath it was so perfect.

Ribbet, sorry to hear about your dog. Hope you find a great companion and friend in your new member of the family.

These two woodpeckers were right outside my front door in Stoneham.
Note the holes they've drilled into the tree. (click thumbnail to enlarge)

Default Weird Mushrooms

The first mushroom/fungus growing on the tree trunk was larger than a human head and looked like a giant clam. The second one looks just like a moose's head and antlers! Taken in Chatham, NH (click on thumbnails to enlarge)

It has been a while since I had any photos to share of Maine. Was in the Caribou/ Presque Isle area for a day and a half this last week-end bringing my parents back home from their visit with us out in MI. Took just a few photos due to the drastically short visit.

Looking straight up at the wind tower at UMPI

The burned out McCain's building in Washburn taken from Riverside cemetery

A lone Canoeist making his way upstream on the Aroostook River between Caribou and Fort Fairfield on Friday evening. It would have been a perfect evening to be out.

The bridge over the Prestile Stream just before it flows into the Aroostook River in Presque Isle. Taken about 5:15 AM just as the sunlight broke over the trees and lit it up with beautiful golden light on Sunday morning as I was pulling out of Washburn headed home to MI.
