I'm buying!! I love the idea of the loofah soaps... and my girls and I have sensitive skin so we'd all love the glycerin with oatmeal too!
and El, they aren't b&w....but they're wonderful pictures!

Me too. I've seen loofa growing, but combining the soap with loofa is a fantastic idea - definitely marketable.

Sorry, not going to continue with the current direction for this post. Took this a couple of hours ago and thought I would put it up for those of you who miss a bit of color this time of year. Or just as an incentive for those who want to get someplace that HAS color. They are getting a bit drab here already and after driving up route 11 this afternoon, it looks like the peak up that corridor is about over. Still not too bad, but not as bright and vibrant as last week.

She keeps trying to get the soap to have one colour inside each of the loofa lobes and a different colour through the rind.
But so far we have not had success.

I might be able to help. There was a lot of discussion about it on a soap list when it was a big thing 10-12 years ago. It doesn't work as well with glycerin as real soap because glycerin is much thinner but it can be done. Line the lobes you don't want to fill with butcher paper. It takes either a very straight, well-lobed luffa or preslicing.
