My Lab is now 13 yrs old. Drastic changes past 2 yrs. Routines different and entertainment changed. But one thing that never will change... her love for cold and snow. It is so true with labs that they want winter and love the cold and snow. You can see it in their demeanor and reactions. So excited for it.... but age, arthritis and fatigue sets in and the excitement doesn't last as long anymore.

I always enjoy your pics and of Kelley but take my advice... prevent her from swimming in cold water. Sometimes you cant tell hypothermia is setting in or frost bite with wet paws and frozen snow. Especially as she ages. I remember mine jumped in the ocean in winter all the time and even when there was snow on the beach.. I really couldn't stop her. But I had to be smart with water temps in upper 30s and her joints aging

Couple of pics of her...

Yup, she's excited.

Here she comes! Oh man I miss these days.

Mid December

Igloo? Fox hole? She actually dug this out. lol

im jelelous, you guys got aton of snow. Here in ma we have only gotten 1 inch of "snow", then it melted and froze over. So now we got a 2" layer of ice as later that day it rained ice (or as smart-folk call it hail) which also melted and froze.
