You're welcome. It's deeper than the picnic table makes it look. The wind is blowing the snow off the table. There's 4" so far.

Maine Writer--The pictures are terrific. Thanks for posting them.
I bet that squirrel has a pretty high metabolic rate. Maybe he gives off enough heat to warm up (sort of) a small space like that.
Today at work, I watched a huge chicken hawk in one tree patiently wait for a squirrel, nearby in second tree, to make himself vulnerable. Squirrel knew the hawk was there. He kept real still for close to two hours while the hawk watched him and finally left without his meal. Was nice to see a little nature in the city!

For anyone interested, here is a link to viewier's photos of today's storm from the local news station's website. I think there are a couple on there that might not be today's storm but there are quite a few good ones on there. You may have to copy and paste this in your browser.

Cool
Some days in the summer we can get channel 2, but it is always fuzzy and you can't make out what they are saying.
We get 7(ABC) and 12(PBS)
We have friends who get channel 5.

Are there any cable companies in the area, or do most people use a dish?

There are neighbors of ours who have DirecTV or DishNetwork, also others who use BUDs [Big Ugly Dishes that receive free programming].
Some homes have no TV, while others use a TV aerial like we do.
We do not have cable ran out here in our township. I am fairly sure that Old Town does have cable, though Alton does not.

sdstlouis--loved the pics. Dogs seem to like the snow as much as the kids!
