Post Would like to meet people in Brunswick

Hi,

I'm staying at one of the hotels in Brunswick a few of you were kind enough to tell me about. Thanks once again. I plan on siteseeing and checking out real estate during the day; however, at night I would like to also meet people in order to get a feel for the town. So if anyone from the Brunswick area could recommend restaurants, coffee shops, clubs, and such, I'd truly appreciate it.

I think Bath is right next to where you are. Our first meal in Maine was at Galley Family restaurant in Bath. It was tucked away in a little neighborhood. It's a little old fashioned diner with a bar and everything. I think everyone in the place knew one another, and we stuck out like sore thumbs! They were very nice to us, though.

Didn't look like much, but the food was delicious. And they serve homemade pies brought in weekly by neighborhood ladies. We ended buying a whole pie they had just brought while we were eating and ate it for two days! They were very reasonably priced with substantial portions. We took lots of leftovers back to the hotel.

I work in Brunswick and since Bowdion College is there, there are alot of coffee shops around there. A bunch on Maine Street and Pleasant Street. For resturants a place I like is The Big Top Deli on Maine Street. The food there rules. There is not too much in the way of clubs though, you would be better off heading to Portland for that scene.
