Is there a limit to how many rounds a weapon can hold... We are thinking about a Ruger Mimi-14 and they hold 20 rounds.

The limit in ME is whatever your magazine holds. No limit, IOW.

You can buy 30 round mags for the Mini-14. However, any center fire rifle used during hunting can only have 5 rounds loaded and the magazine cannot be capable of holding more than 5 rounds. You can't have a 20 or 30 rounder in your game pocket while hunting.

No loaded rifles in your vehicle in Maine either. If you have a CCW you can have a loaded handgun on you with as many rounds as you choose.

I find that when I use the bigger clips [20 or 30 round] with my Ruger that not all brands of ammo have enough umph to fully cycle the bolt. Causing a jam. Never happens using the factory clip, regardless of ammo brand.

No limit in Maine except for hunting. I would recommend a ar over the mini14. The ar can be had in any caliber you want and parts are abundant everywhere from grips to rails. Mags are also cheaper a ar 30 round gov contract mag will run you about 20 bucks.

Just bought 10 PMAGS on sale and loaded them up while watching t.v. Thats 300 rnds of 5.56. Don't like to waste range time loading mags. Now when I used to muzzle loader hunt, not so many rounds.

I believe in precious metals. Gold, silver, brass and lead.

For shooting and home defense no limit [this AINT California] As had been stated hunting is 5 round capacity, Bird is 3 round for shotgun [unless they changed it]. BTW many areas are a shotgun only area due to being congested.

Can my 10-22 have a 15 round clip loaded during hunting season, even though I'm not hunting?

I can't have a loaded 10-22 hanging in the back window, even with a ccw permit?
