LOL! Beware of wild chipmunks. My husband made pets of them. He fed them peanuts and they would come right up to him. BUT come fall,... they decided to move in. 50 lbs. of acorns later (and many laughs) we successfully trapped and relocated them, and repaired the damage. It was like watching Donald Duck trying to evict Chip and Dale.

lol....I love Chip and Dale!

(but wouldn't want them moving in!)

Forest, I also am now loud in the woods, often singing!, after my close call with the bear. Just wish I hadn't learned the hard way!

Default Re: Bear and Wolf

On my last trip to Caribou, a few weeks ago, I overheard a conversation between two residents, about seeing a bear in town and reports of bears going after bird feeders. I can't vouch for the reliability of that information.

I have also heard that some wolves have been re-introduced to the area, or are about to be.

There's a mouse in my livingroom. The cat's trying to catch it again this morning. He had it yesterday morning but let it go and watched it run around. So my questions are, do we all need to ger rabies shots? And should I shoot it or call the game wardens?

He weighs 30 pounds. He's on a diet exercise isn't near the list of his priorities. We think mice take one look at his size and throw themselves under the bus...I mean cat... to make their endings much less painful.
