The town of Bridgton in western ME sponsors a MUSHERS BOWL festival with dog sled races and, for a very nominal fee, the chance for the public to try dog sledding on a frozen lake. We had a GREAT time last year! Here is the online link from last year: Maine Lakes Mushers Bowl Bridgton, Maine... Dog Sled Races... Winter Carnival... Presented By The Greater Bridgton Lages Region Chamber Of Commerce
Also, if you do a google search for "sled dogs stoneham maine" you will see the names of several private outfitters who offer dogsledding. ENJOY!

Back in the day I was the first registered Maine guide to guide with a sled dog team. I took Don Hibbs for his first sled dog ride ever. Now he and his wife April run Nahmakanta Lake Camps near Millinocket. They run a high quality operation and it's a wilderness experience. Nobody has more experience. I recommend Don and April very highly. April grew up on Millinocket Lake.

I Think I'll choose this one.
