Four to Seven Weeks To Go!
Well... Gentle Maine-iacs!
We spent the past 3 1/2 years renovating every aspect of our house in PA, and this week end it goes under sales contract. Tentative date for closing is Oct 30, so.....God Willing, we will be in Bar Harbor, Maine, for Thanksgiving!!
Rushing around doing last minute things before we start the ardous task of packing up everything to move 600 miles north. It will probably take two trips, one with a moving van and one with a smaller van towing a car or a sail boat.
But my wife and my dream since we were married for only 3 years, anf continuing for 35 years of moving to Maine, and that we have had since about 1976, looks like its finally going to happen.

Dreams do come true, congratulations on your long journey coming to fruition! I'm right behind you (by a year or so) the housing market is not as good here, I guess. Lots of tire kickers, no buyers. Additionally. the wife is finishing up several long term projects at work (personally, I think she just likes traveling to Asia every few months and leaving Bubba our dog and I home alone like we are this week)
