wow, the Sox as Goliath.....talk about changing your paradigm!!! holy cow....my brain won't even go that way. LOL....I'm laughing now, I can't help it!! The Sox??? wow.....LOL....geez....

I didn't know that about Ellsbury! What a great story!! Of course Lester and Cook have wonderful stories too---they're the pitchers in tonight's game. Aaron Cook of the Rockies survived a pulmonary embulism, and Lester of the Sox is a cancer survivor.

ok, back to the game!

oh, I'll post about Belfast tomorrow in the off-topic thread

YUP IT is a good day. What made it better is that A-rod is no longer a MFY

Yeah, I just hope he doesn't become a Red Sock. Don't care for him. Give me Lowell's attitude any day.

That's eleven. Now they still need . . . wait . . . ZERO more! And I don't think it's going to be too tough to enjoy this one.

I agree but I think he has priced himself out of the boston market. Theo doesnt like old guys with long contracts. Lowell can name his price for the next 3 years. Good luck Mikey and thanks

Woo-Hoo!!!!
Another glorious season behind us. Now at night I can get some sleep.
I don't believe Theo is going to give Lowell the 3-4 year contract he wants and he is being courted by quite a few teams.
That means we lose our sergeant major-bummer.
Having said that would it be so bad getting A-Rod?
It will be hard to replace Lowell and A-Rod is a GREAT player.

If they let Lowell go I'm gonna be one angry fan!! Lowell has a style and grace unequaled right now in the majors, they'd be fools to let him walk. I don't think they will. I also think Francona and Epstein are smart enough not to pull in a guy like A-rod. His attitude is horrible, and seriously, with all the bad blood between the Sox and Yankees why add someone like that to the roster? I think they'll hold on to Schilling too....Francona is too big of a supporter of Schilling to let him walk, and he's proven invaluable, especially in the post season. But for now, it's time to enjoy this!! and, look forward to many more post seasons with the Sox!! this team has some great rookies, it's very hard not to be thinking about next October!!

I'll get excited when the Twins are in the World Series Seriously though, These last four games could have been a little bit more exciting. Watching one time completely stomp another is just boring. I am happy for the Red Sox nation (which I guess that my girlfriend is now a part of.....) but seriously the World Series would have been a little bit more exciting if CR one at least one game. They just practically gave it away, it seems.......

Now, the Patriots almost beating the Redskins 52 to zip! Now that is just crazy!
