Molly, you need to go to the Sox' website and read the articles there. Maybe you can un-crash and then wind down gradually.
Or, we could pick up on BigChuckie's post which compared the '04 and '07 teams, and start a hot-stove discussion of which team was better. What's the limit on how long they let a thread get before they shut it down? Or is there a limit? Either way, maybe we need to start fresh next year.
But as for now, I think in my case the wind-down process worked. Thoughts of the season just past are flowing together into a warm glow. Nice.

Today I went to a small event where Dan Duquette was the guest speaker. It was interesting. He seems to be a lot nicer guy than the press used to make him out to be. We'll see how well he called it when it comes to moves the Sox are likely to make next. From his perspective as one who knows the business, he predicted that the Sox would re-sign Lowell. Hope he's right.

Not a bad guy just a poor judge of who's best days are behind him. We can thank him for Manny's loooong contract.

The Portland Sea Dogs are a farm team for the Red Socks; just yesterday my 7 yo granddaughter was telling me that when I move to Maine I have to go with her and her daddy to the SeaDogs. Then she cautioned me that I would have to get used to lots and lots of loud cheering for the SeaDogs and giggled and said "and that will be me".
From what I hear Portland loves and supports its SeaDogs.

We are too Elcarim; we put our house on the market here in California and spend hours a day on Realtor.com checking out houses that we'd buy if our house had sold already. Can't wait, but winter will be a tough time to move.

Yawn! It's been done. Damon did the same thing three years ago.
Okay, now to get serious, it's good to see it when these professional athletes don't just take all their millions and hide away, but make the effort to give something back. And geez, it's interesting to finally know what Youk looks like! Do you happen to know which charity it was?
There are some others you hear about. I know I've heard that Ortiz does a lot of chairty work, but I've never heard which charities. Then there's Wakefield, who does a lot of work with the Jimmy Fund. And of course there's "Curt's pitch for ALS." I'm sure there are other players doing this kind of thing as well. Good to see it.

He was:
ESPN - Red Sox, Lowell agree to three-year, $37.5M deal - MLB
From an article I read, Ortiz supports a wide range of charities, ranging from Make A Wish, to Boston programs for disadvantaged kids, to local charities in the Domican Republic.
