Since moving back here from out west I have been missing my BBQ tri tip. I finally found one(albeit Maine grown vs. western beef) and am trying it on the barbie tonite! Anybody got a good marinade to share? I usually use teriaki/gormans mixture for 24 hours or so.

Tri tips are tasty and tender- a good teriyaki marinade is great on them- schlotterbeck and foss teriyaki sauce is one of my favs- made right in portland- not everyplace sells tri-tips

the p&l country store in dexter should have tri-tips

fullers market in west gardiner has tri-tips
bracketts market in bath has tri-tips, as does wells food mart and r&m in eastport, and southwest harbor foodmart- they are just catching on up here in the northeast- very popular down south and out west- sliced thin for fajitas
here is a video if no one knows what they are, or look like
