Love this time of year also. Finally we will be in the lower 90's upper 80's for a while with kinda low humidity in the 60's.
Kinda wish I could just once be in a place that has four seasons. Here we have summer and winter and not much in between. Fall and spring just means no humidity but the temps can still get high.

Of course I love it...it's a relief from the heat of summer, which I detest. I'm just not made for the heat! I suffer a great deal from hot, humid weather. It just wears me down.

After 85 days of temperatures in triple digits, we are flying out of Austin Texas to spend a week in Maine (around the Portland area). How far north will we need to drive to get the best foliage viewing? Or will a trip to Boothbay Harbor provide a good example? By the way, only 96 today - a cold front moved in.

This fall is special. It's the very first time our store has had l winter squashes, and apples from MAINE in them. I trust it will be the first of many falls that we can sell local produce.

I listened to two bull moose fighting in the distance late this afternoon. Just as I was ready to get down from my stand a noise got my attention. "Wugh!" Two moose battled only 200' from my stand. I wish it had been lighter so that I could see them through the trees. Third week in September = moose start to rut.
