Levant Maine
Hi Everyone.
I am making a quick trip up to Maine from the farm here in NH to look at a house in Levant. Thought I would go up to Milo too. Does anyone have any info about theses areas?

It's nice, especially if you farm. Lots of wide open fields, not crowded and of course, nice people.

Milo is terrific.  I happen to be moving there this week. There's a new resteraunt for breakfast and lunch I was told just opened, "Elaines".The closest grocery store is in Dover/Foxcroft it's a Shaws, the hospital is there too "Mayo" hospital, pop. about 2800 people. Check out Three Rivers Community of Maine for business listings and such. Once we get settled and get the computer set up I'd be happy to answer any questions I can. There are also a lot of good pictures of the area on the web site. |

Thanks msina! I would love to hear anything about Milo and surrounding area. Our search of Maine keeps bringing us back to this area.
My biggest concern is work opportunities. Though we don't need much and I am willing to do most anything. I am a self employed skilled and well rounded carpenter. My wife is a LNA.
If you know or hear anything about the school system that information would be greatly appreciated too.
Thanks again. We hope to make our move to Maine by the holidays. We'll keep our fingers crossed.

We just moved to Levant 2 weeks ago from Mississippi. We love it so far, very welcoming people, quiet and close to Bangor for shopping and work. Don't know much about Milo, good luck in your search.

My best friend from childhood's husband taught sixth grade at the elementary school. The students and staff were very nice. He left only because he was looking for a bigger challenge. He's at the juvenile detention facility now. |
