Question How long is it to drive from Lyman Maine into New York City, and how much in tolls?

Hi Maine Friends!

How long does it take to drive from Lyman Maine into NYC, how much in tolls?
How about to Boston?
Is it best to drive or fly?
What would you do?
Many thanks!

It's going to depend on how you make the trip. If it were me I would bank on between 4 and 6 hours to NYC...depending on traffic, your speed, weather etc. Boston I think would be around 2 hours.

The tolls are going to depend on which routes you take but I think into Boston and back would be around $10 in tolls and depending on how you do New York around $15...It's been a year since I drove through there so this is going on memory...and based on driving from Belfast. I'm sure someone else can be more specific but I think this would give you a good base.

There is no need to pay any tolls unless you are in a big hurry and run the turnpikes. That said, you better be prepared for some heavy parking fees unless you are picking somebody up for a return trip.

It's not really possible for somebody to travel from Maine to New York City.

$1 in Gardiner and another in Portland, $1.50 at York, $1 at Hampton NH (?-maybe 2), 50 cents Mass Pike, and whatever around NYC. Can't remember the Tappen-Zee Bridge. I htink $5 but you only pay it going north. Costs to come back home.

Tappan Zee Bridge is now $14. Yup, it's true. You don't cross it to go to New York City.

Momentary ?!, Geez, I wish my memory was that good.....I only know where Lyman is because I live there. Most Mainers have never heard of the place.
