I've had a bizarre morning!
I am accustomed to waking early, well before dawn. This morning I awoke, bedside clock said it was a bit before 5:00. Made coffee, checked the online news (and the Maine forum). Proceeded to mop my kitchen floor, take out recyclables and do a little dusting, etc. Now the living room clock says 8:15. A bit surprised as it’s still so dark out. Check the bedroom wall clock-- also says 8:15. It snowed a bit last night and the clouds must be really dense. Notice my computer clock says 6:20, reset it to 8:20. Get ready to go to grocery store. Still dark!--beginning feel like I’m in the twilight zone! Put on my wristwatch which informs me that its now 6:30!

LOL! Glad to hear I'm not the only one who has done that. Amazing how much you can get done before normal breakfast time isn't it.

Default Up late but this may help on another morning

I just made the best pancakes. Healthier too. Here's how:

Pumpkin Pancakes

3 cup just add water Buttermilk pancakes (I used Hannaford's Buttermilk)
1 teaspoon vanilla (I used trader Joes vanilla paste)
1 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice.
1 1/2 tbs brown sugar
3/4 can of pumpkin puree (not the huge can)
2 1/4 cups water

Cook pancakes the way you normally would.

They are so moist and tasty.

These sound yummy --I'll try them with chopped walnuts. Just back from T.J's. Didn't know about vanilla paste. Will look for it next time

The paste measures the same as liquid but adds the little flecks of vanilla bean. I don't have a subtle pallet so it may or may not add to flavor but it makes things look a bit fancier.

Yes it is! This morning I got up per my doggies wake up lap; went downstairs, straightened up the kitchen put last nights dishes away--cleaned the kitchen grout and tile counters, got the coffee ready to make fresh when DP wakes up, re-heating one cup of left over in microwave for me now, went out and cleaned up after dogs, washed the slider doors inside and out, looked at some houses up in Bangor on Realtor.com read the forum posts and then had coffee with my partner when he got up. I've now been up for 2+ hours and have a good jump on the day. We will have a showing this afternoon around 1pm--I am so hopeful that this one will be the person who wants to live in THIS house.

It won't be much longer, Elston. DH and the realtor assure me that ALL houses sell eventually! It still remains to be seen, but our home is very nice, and I can't imagine it not selling. Everyone who has seen it so far has loved it. It's just not quite what they were looking for or where they were looking for. Everything will be fresher in the spring.
