And, of course, I'll post photos later!

As well you should be! Give both the girls big hugs!

I've stocked up on books and movies, but the laptop will be here too! Hope you all had a great weekend....now I've got to do some reading and catch up!

There are beautiful, dressy scarves and gloves too. You just have to decide how much warm, dressy stuff you need or want. Buy quality clothing, more of a classic style, so you can get more than one winter from them. I do own a couple of pair of silk long johns, they're very warm, but I don't need them unless I'm going to be outside for quite a while on a chilly day! I think too if you plan on dressing in a layer or two it's easier. Some people keep their homes very warm, I like mine a little on the cooler side (68ish). If you visit someone and have on a nice blouse/shirt with a sweater, you'll have it made either way Does that help at all?

That sounds great and like I'll fit right in! Yeah, I keep my home cool in the winter too... more of an excuse to wear all those great sweaters! (or hope for cool enough days, here in the southlands...here in NC mostly I leave a window open 24/7 LOL) I also have some silk long johns... saved from when I lived in WA state... and did the layered thing. Nothing like wanting to sit somewhere and visit and enjoy the fire in the stove or fireplace, but end up sweating as if you were in the sauna 'cause of not having a removable layer!

I'm back from school with the girls. They did so well! Both of their teachers just went on and on about how special they are, and how well behaved they are and how advanced..............I'm just so very proud of them!
Here's a couple of pics of their special day:

What are silk LJs and where can I get some? They sound SO luxurious! Aside from being underwear and all!! I love silk nighties - very nice feeling against my skin.

El what great pics! thanks so much for sharing those!
I found my silk long johns at JC Penney's I think....I've seen them in Land's End and LL Bean too. They just give you that extra layer of warmth under your jeans or trousers when you want it ...and silk keeps you warm! (well, in addition to letting you feel a little extra special!)

Hey Ms.M! Glad to see you so active on here today. I trust the recovery is going well. Not too much laughing?
Actually, it's been a pretty quiet (calm) day here!
