I got mine from REI in Seattle... but they do not come in "extended sizes" so mine will have to be replaced from having been "made to do" on an XL body when the clothing was only L. They do vend online... but they do not have a store in "Bean country" ... the nearest one is in MA.

My hubby had a pair of silk johns and he swore by them. Said they are so much warmer. I got his at Marden's for $5. Wish now I'd bought him more than one pair.

Maybe I can get me some on Ebay! Actually, some things, I don't buy on Ebay unless they're advertised as new.

I have been shopping for LL Bean stuff on there for the kids - trying to get a head-start on winter clothes, what winter we have!

I bought heavy coats for a cold snap we had last December, they wore them about 5 times, plus the week we were in Maine (March). That was all. Kids just grow so fast, they rarely fit after one season!

ok....so I'm noticing some things.....

7th gen and Mark S still aren't back from wherever they've disappeared to....

Where's Texas Bob (or BobinTex--you know, Bob, with the fish, pretty wife and cute kids!) and Flycessna?

MBM and David hardly posted.... why?

lots of newbies, mentioned this earlier somewhere but still very happy about that!

and I'm resisting doing my EXTREME HAPPY DANCE....because there is definitely a POSITIVE air surrounding this forum that has not been here for a bit....

I'm kind of caught up....will read the rest as it comes around again...if it does!

Well, David's been minding his mannerstrying not to get evicted and MBM has been QUITE quiet the last few days. Maybe he actually had to work or something (I always wonder why so many men are on here during the day and not working - who's paying the bills???) or maybe we just scared him away. BobTex hit and run with his big gun/snake photo. Almost scared ME away with that one!!

Maybe................they're all just waiting for YOoooUUUUUU to come back!!! We've been missing you girl!
