Me too! Ever since FB first mentioned this fair in an earlier thread it's on my to do list for next year. I know I would LOVE it. The goal is to be a local by then!
My streaking days are way behind me ... so we will likely be wearing clothes as well...haven't decided about the bells yet.

On another forum that I inhabit, we have discussed the possibility to wearing tin-foil hats to the fair.

My wife seems to be against such a notion. But I think that such would be fun.

Default Belfast & Moosehead Lake Railroad

Have anyone taken the train to the fair? If they have it next year I will be on it. I have taken the train to Unity before and it is a very scenic ride. Great fun.

How cool! Where does it start? I mean, where do you get on?

It did start in Belfast years ago, but not any more.
I looked at the website and you drive to the Unity station (park for free) and ride the train to the fair. It would be better for us if it still left from Belfast. But I will take what I can get. Maybe you and I can work on getting it back to Belfast.

The first couple times that I attended the fair, the train was not running.

???

Then last year it was running once again. I do not know why, or the history of the train though.

I went to the common ground country fair religiously for years and always loved it. Saw Ken Kesey give a talk there as well as Stewart Brand. Always intelligent, always informative and always fun without all the other stuff associated with country fairs, though they have their charms as well.

I have only one -- she's broad-minded, but not THAT broad-minded -- and I'm sure you'd be safe! Anyway, have fun at the fair, all of you who are going.

BTW, FB, why would you wear a tinfoil hat? And do you really visit other forums besides this one?

I wanna wear a tinfoil hat and party like a hippy at the fair. Gonna get a veggie wrap, pet the goat, and look for some nice smelling candles.
