Default Thank you Maine for a Wonderful Vacation!

My wife and I spent a week in your beautiful state in Acadia National Park. We camped out at Smuggler's Den in Southwest Harbor and very much enjoyed ourselves.

The people we met were wonderful and made us "southerners" (we are from Nashville, TN) feel at home. Acadia National Park and Baxter State Park are beautiful areas! We are thinking of returning next year!

We escaped 100 degree weather in Nashville and enjoyed your 70 degree days and 50 degree evenings. We are back in Nashville and it has cooled down to 95!

Again, thank you to the wonderful folks of Maine for making our vacation so pleasant! I am hoping if any of you visit Nashville, you will be treated in the same wonderful manner as we were in your area!

Went to Gatlinburg and the Smokies three years ago and the southern hospitality was awesome.

I have been posting pictures for my family to view. These are just a small selection of what was shot. I plan on adding more later. Plus I want to get some still shots from the video I shot in Maine as well. There are some links at the bottom of the page to take you to more pictures. Hope you enjoy!

Now why is it that when someone from away posts something wonderful about Maine I get that warm fuzzy feeling inside?? I think it's because they've had a chance to see what we have and it feels great to share!!

BuzzCam, I'm happy you and your family had a wonderful vacation! Hopefully you'll get a chance to come back again...it's a big state so you could come back every year and still do something completely different!

We definitely plan on returning! Not only was the scenery beautiful, but your weather was perfect the whole time we were there.

My stepson got to eat lobster for the first time and really loved it. Only problem, we can't get fresh lobster back here in Nashville so he will be disappointed when he has lobster here.

I love the accent of the locals. My uncle, who was from Boston, passed away several years ago. But, hearing the accent brought back several fond memories of my uncle. I am not sure what the people there thought of my southern accent though.

Again, thanks for such a wonderful time!

Buzz
How fresh does it need to be? I've packed fresh ones in dry ice in a styrofoam cooler and air-shipped them to Houston a time or two.
