Talking How I am Finding Maine life,

Well we moved here in July from Mass. Some of you I talked to on this sight befor we moved. And I found you all very open and honest with answering my questions about the area I moved to. How ever I must say I am finding it better than I thought. My son is making some good friends in school. I am finding work. My daughter who is only 2 seems to be in better spirits. And my wife who will be haveing our 3rd and LAST child in 10 days is more relaxed than she ever has been. Most of the people we have met have been very nice and geniune. There have even been a couple people that needed very small things done. Like swaping out a window or hanging a door. That were very happy to find out I will barter for some things. And Work very cheep for elderly customers. (as you can tell by my spelling I am a contractor) Some of the town folk have stopped in just to say hello or to see what we have done to the house. My house being one of the oldest in town with the history of being the origional 1 room school house in the 1700's. We feel moveing here was and is the best thing we could have done for our kids and our selfs. Thank you all for your kindness.

Default I'm so glad to hear from you!

What a great treat! I wondered how you are all doing and if you all had a new family member yet. There's even a note in here somewhere where I mentioned that you'd disappeared and hoped you'd check in soon .

I'm so glad to hear that all of you are doing well, and you're happy. It sounds like Lubec is a good fit for you (and it's so beautiful). Tell your wife to take it easy and to relax....she won't be able to do much of that after the baby comes. Take care and stay in touch!

Molly it is a sight for sore eyes to read a reply from you. I have been working on jobs then the house. Every thing needs to be just right for the new baby when it comes. It took me 3 weeks just to set up my work shop. But now with a sigh of relief we are almost there. I have even managed to sneak a ride or two on the bike when the wife was naping. My son lost a tooth last week at 7m so I got to learn the tricks to get to Walmart befor they closed. The tooth fairy dude did good again. Take care and see you soon.

I am laughing soo hard right now because my husband is also a contractor and he spells just as bad. Actually he uses no Upper case letters anywhere in his e-mails and almost no punctuation except periods..so your not doing too bad there , Ed. I tell him to let me write his e-mails so people won't think our child wrote it! Anyway I'm glad you're enjoying it there...it just validates why I want to be there. Oh and GOOD LUCK with your new little one. May your wife have a quick and painless delivery(hey one can hope)!

oh good for you!! did you do the rt 214 across from Pembroke? it seems to be the fastest. Also, a nice ride when you're heading this way is to turn a little further down (toward Perry, not Machias) along Rt 1 in Pembroke, at the Crossroads Restaurant. Take a left there at the intersection, then take your first right. It will take you across a little one lane bridge over the river and a dam. There are a few maples there that turn beautiful in the fall, and it's picture perfect. Keep going down the road, along the river. The road is narrow, but very pretty. You'll see a railroad trestle off to your left--great fishing there! Now the stop sign comes up quick, so don't be going too fast. Turn right at the stop sign, and follow it all the way to where it comes out on Rt 1, Mill Cove, in Robbinston. When you crest the hill to come down to Rt 1, you will find the most outstanding view! Anyway, this drive is beautiful...and peaceful!

Take care and yes, see you soon!

Hey, not all contractors are bad spellers, just some of us live and die by the spell checker. I am glad to hear you are settling in and finding your new home a nicer place than you hoped. Also have to admit to chuckling about the "Last one" comment, I made that same mistake about uttering that phrase right after #3 son was born. #4 would have been missed if it turned out true.

I was just thinking about you yesterday, wondering how you were settling in. I'm so glad to hear that your move to Maine has exceeded all expectations!

Good luck with the new baby, and with all future endeavors. We haven't decided which part of ME we will land in when we return next year, but if we head north, we are always looking for good contractors to help us with some of the projects we can't handle ourselves.

Sounds like you have settled in nicely, Ed. Glad you stopped by to let us know how things are going.
Good Luck with the new arrival. Be sure to let us know when he/she is here.
