Default How accepting are Mainers ?

My two sisters, my mother and I are all hoping to move to Maine together. The question I have is about my two sisters. To put it simply they are eccentric. Think the aunts in "Practical Magic". They are very sweet, kind and friendly ,but different. They are up all night, sleep till noon , wear pajamas all day , you get the idea. Here in Santa Fe, they fit right in. How would they be accepted by Mainers?

Sounds like me before I had my daughter. Then I got her all grown and was back into my routine and grandson came along. I still will spent a day in my jammies in the winter.

I know several people who stay in the PJ's all day, especially in the winter. As long as no one feels threatened by them, and I can't imagine they would, you all should get along fine.

Maine has all types of people. I would stay in my PJ's all day if I didn't have to go to work. People wear a little of everything. By the way... I LOVE Practical Magic and the sisters

Where are you thinking of moving?

Hi Mainr, undecided. Along the mid-coast is very appealing. Especially after living in the desert of New Mexico for 10 years.

I feel its only fair to add that my two sisters are wiccan/witches. They are not kids (mid 40's) . This did not go over well in Georgia. How do Mainers feel about something like this?

I bet after 10 years you'd like it a bit cooler. Mid coast Maine is nice but too many tourists for me. I travel to Belfast, Searsport, Stockton Springs area in the summers for the flea markets. I love Mosman Park in Searport, I've been going there since I was a little kid and even got married there in 2001.

Do any of you ladies work? What do you do? Feel free to PM me if you have any questions, I've lived in many of the towns within a 30 mile raduis of Bangor

Faith
