Just another (weird) reason my fellow Mainers make me proud!
I know that not a lot of you are involved with the lobstering industry, but I just love this little video about the lobster boat races. Apparently someone is producing a full length documentary/movie about the lobsterboat race circuit here in Maine, and this is just the trailer, but it makes me laugh, and I thought I would share. Gotta love those crazy lobstermen! Nowhere else but Maine... (And if you have never been to the races, I am inviting you all to head down to the coast next summer and join the fun.)
(I can't wait to see this as a full production...)

If you really know your stuff, you can tell where those guys come from depending on their specific accent, too- Jonesport, Deer Isle, Matinicus, Vinalhaven, Boothbay- every place sounds just a little bit different. (Honestly... )
it DOES---one of my college roommates my soph year in college grew up on Beals, and with me from Eastport, my other roommate from Old Town would just laugh at us....some things were the same--the biggest difference was for a** she said arss and I said aass....lol!!
