Here are a few things to consider doing over this coming weekend in central Maine area. Corn maze and pumpking and apple picking.
Down at Blue Hill there is the Fall Foliage and Food Festival. We went 2 out of the past 3 seasons and it was great fun, music and food. Sample some or if you want larger portions you can purchase. The chowders were outstanding. I believe this is just on Saturday from 10 to 3
Leonard's Mills in Bradley - eveyone should do this at least once, they also sometimes have bateau rides
Curran Homstead in Holden, run by all volunteers

Sunday, Oct. 7th: Central Maine Bird Fanciers Fall Show at the Poultry Building at Windsor Fairgrounds
Tailgate sales of birds begins early - 7:00 am or so. Show birds "coop in" (arrive) by 9:00 am for judging and remain on exhibit until mid-afternoon. Many breeds of poultry, ducks, pigeons, and possibly, geese & turkeys, will be on exhibit. There's an auction (misc. stuff), food wagon (woot!) and raffles. Good old fashioned fun!

Fryeburg Fair; Fryeburg, Maine. It's an extravaganza with animals, country people, shows, rides and antique stuff.
This one you have to pay to get in. That kinda bothers me.
