Today: A high of 106 degrees
Tomorrow: A high of 104 degrees

Just in case you guys needed yet another reason to be thankful for living in Maine, those are the temps for the next couple days here in Sunny Southern California… whew!
It seems as though we've "enjoyed" more 100+ degree days this summer than in recent memory. (or could it be that we are just getting anxious for our trip to Maine in a couple weeks and can't wait to get out of this furnace!)

Enjoy your day!

221B Glad to hear you are coming to Maine but if you had planned it for a week or 2 earlier you would have been here for our gorgeous foliage. It is almost 100% right now. I guess it depends on what part of Maine you plan to be in. Bar Harbor pretty much closes down after mid-Oct. It will indeed be cooler here. Here today in mid - Maine it may hit 60 but possibility of almost 70 by Wednesday or Thursday.

I will be up there in two weeks. I wanted to come up sooner, but my wife will be in Abu Dabui(sp) somewhere in the Middle East working the next 2 weeks. I will pick her up in Bangor at the airport.

No worries. We knew we couldn't make it 'till 2nd half of Oct. Even the worst day in ME is probably better than the best day in this infernal heat…
Besides, we should miss most of the leaf-peepers!

October really is grand in Maine. Cool days, but some warm ones too. And the foliage!

Your worst day in Maine will still be better than your best day anywhere else.

And by then the people from away have cleared out, that is why I prefer to go up in September. All of the idiots you encounter on the road have one thing in common, out of state license plates.

Sometimes October seems too chilly........but then I remember how warm and wonderful October seems in January, and it doesn't seem chilly at all.......

221B If you take a drive down to Bar Harbor there will likely be a cruise ship in.

Kiwiluver - when you pick up your wife at BIA you will be about a mile and a half from my house. lol If you are looking for a decent place for dinner while in Bangor, check out Fiddlehead on Hammond St.
