If Maine is as colourful as Nova Scotia it's spectacular, we had 2 months of HOT HOT dry weather, not a drop of rain, this seems to have put the trees in some kind of shock mode, people here say they have never seen such vivid reds in the maples ever, I'm seeing maples that usually turn a dull reddish colour are now almost glowing in red, good peeping.

So gorgeous!!! We've been looking forward to a Maine move for so long. So many things have held us back but I'm hopeful next spring we'll make a move and hoping this winter will be a visit. Will be my first in over ten years!!!! Long over due! Even started making plans - as of Sunday our tortoises were rehomed. Was so hard to let them go, but TN winters have been rough on them. Maine would've killed them.

The wife and I went to Acadia Park this past Wednesday through Friday and the colors weren't quite there yet , maybe next week they'll be at their peak. Got back home to the Crown Of Maine and most of the leaves were gone with a few pockets of color left, mainly different shades of yellows. Little to no shades of reds or oranges. We did go out this morning for a little bit even though it was hovering around 30. There's a change of snow tomorrow in the early morning but not much of an accumulation. Here are a few pics from this morning.
