Default Random, yet funny honeymoon story

Hello, all; it's been awhile since my last post. No movement on the job front with my husband(thanks again for all your info), but I will keep everyone in the loop. I just thought I'd share something silly that happened to us while on our honeymoon in the beautiful state of Maine. My husband and I were strolling around Bar Harbor, enjoying some delicious blueberry ice cream when here comes this lady with her Prada sunglasses(did someone say "Volvo line???")and strolls up to a lobster/crab roll stand and demands,"Do you guys sell any fried food?" My husband and I just looked at each other and tried not to laugh. She wanted fried food when she could have had the freshest, most flavorful produce(there is definitely something special about coastal produce; take it from a midwesterner)OR lobster(hello!!) OR any number of the delicious fresh foods that my husband and I enjoyed during our stay in Maine. The young man at the stand flatly said,"No." She turned around and moaned to no one in particular,"Ugh, I'm just DYING for some fried food!!" Oooookay, lady! McDonald's couldn't be too far away! That's my story.

Ok, now you've just gone and made me hungry! And right here at dinner time!! We made a commitment NOT to eat any fast food while we were in Maine. The worst offese we made was indulging in a couple of the few hundred Dunkin Donuts throughout the state and the one trip to DQ for ice cream. The rest of the food we enjoyed was the best seafood and homestyle cooking we've ever had in our lives. And to say that was the best homestyle food we've had when we were both born and raised in the south is saying a LOT!!! Gotta go eat something.....
