Mark - you must listen to Kevin Mannix - lol - He LOVES snow and when we end up getting an inch or 2 after he has predicted much more - I laugh and laugh. Try getting your weather on your CBS affiliate.
Watching these temperatures, I do see a warming trend. I am not ready to begin setting taps yet.
They were starting in central NH about a week or two ago according to my family. Lows there were above average for the most part. Looking at the GFS computer model today it appears a sloppy weather pattern will setup over the next 1-2 weeks across Maine and New Hampshire. Highs look to mainly be in the 30s with bouts of snow, sleet and rain. Lows look to remain at or above average. I don't see much in the way of arctic cold heading into March.

NBC was predicted 4-8 inches for our area. We easily have 12 inches --- and it's still snowing.
Sorry to hear that you got so much. I think we got about 7" - most of which has melted but we still have 8 or so still on the ground from before. I for one hope this one for Feb. 28 will pass us by. It's looking like it will be alot for the western Mountains but right now at 3 o'clock it's 42 degrees. They have cancelled most everything in anticipation. Even cancelled local college classes that would be after 4. I can remember when everyone used to go about their normal business when we got fewer than 6".
