growing shiitake in mid-maine area

April 2006 the Virginia cooperative extension agent brought me 2 lbs, about 15000 ginseng seeds and show me how to grow them wild same method as Forest mention. I have not seen any seedling yet. They promote woodland cash corp.
today i cut down some oak and get them ready to inoculate in the next couple days.

hope to do the same thing when we moved to Maine.

i tried to get some for my neighbor, the agent said that was the last batch left under the program. sorry!.

When I get seeds over the WWW, they are expensive.
