When I think of "Maine Men", and I don't mean in the "my Maine squeeze" kind of way , I think of big, burly mountain men who just don't do silk ties and nylon socks. So, what would the Maine Man want for Christmas? What would you wish to be in your stocking, under your tree or hiding somewhere in the barn?

Please share so that I can better equip MY Maine Man this year!!

This should be interesting!

My own Maine man doesn't like to look scruffy so the lumberjack look doesn't work for him. That, and the fact that he couldn't grow a full beard if his life depended on it

Wool socks, wool pants, gortex outer shell, warm gloves with inserts-2 pairs,
poly long johns, wool hat, snow shovel-the new fangled one that is supposed to keep your back straight, snowblower, new plow truck with sander, and a big hug whenever he comes inside from fighting the elements!!

I think a remote car starter would be just the ticket!

My dream gift would be a Ruger M77 Hawkeye Alaskan in the new .375 Ruger caliber.

More realistic would be a new GPS unit.

Ice fishing traps.

Those new head bands that fit over a ball cap and keep your ears warm. The ball cap brim sticks out through a slot in the front. Gotta wear the ball cap, even when it's 20 below y'know

LED head lamp.

Rainex wiper blades.

We use to live in cold weather and my husband swears by silk long johns. He is rugged and doesn't do the tie thing unless it's a funeral or a wedding but he loved a good pair of gloves and boots.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I would be excited to find a couple of Ice Fishing "Slammers" under the tree.

Just picked up a UV (Blacklight) headlamp and I love it for fishing because it picks up the floresent line like a frigging laser headed into the water. Real handy when you need reading glasses and it is an overcast day.
