Hi. I have some land in Grand Isle and would like to get a cheap cabin built on it. Does anyone know of any builders up in that area?

Bernard Storage Sheds is a big outfit right across the river in Green River........the name is misleading as they make and sell lots of bigger things too. They deliver across the border. You might try them.
(Of course there are also the Amish in the Fort Fairfield area, a bit further away...they do this kind of project too).

If you want to build it yourself, I suggest that you look up Owner-Built House, Cabin and Barn Kits from Shelter-Kit®. My wife and son and I had the cabin up to full weathering in one week, and 6 weekends. Great homes. Ours was a 20 x 24, two floors. 13 years ago it cost $19,000.

They are located in NH and will ship anywhere on the east coast. And I had no large construction experience. Up to that time I'd never even build a deck. If I could do it, anyone could. Of course, now I know how to do lots of things in construction.
