I'm not saying Global warming is a joke, I'm saying to trot out Al Gore is a joke. So he is a faceman for a group who won the Nobel Prize. Big whoop, if they thought Elmo would have drawn a bigger audience or held more credibility, Elmo would be a Nobel award holder right now. I would like to see how he is saving the planet. How does he fly to locations? I highly doubt it is with the rest of us Shlubs on a commercial flight. What does he drive around in on a daily basis? I doubt it is a Schwinn. Does he use public transportation whenever he can?
As for having the coldest winter on record here in Maine, it needs to get on the stick because it is woefully behind already. It isn't even the coldest yet in 20 years.

-9* this morning. Probably not the coldest but still very cold for early December.
Gore flying with the common people? Using public transportation? Conserving energy in his mansion? He's a great example of "do as I say, not as I do."

I just watched an interview conducted with a group of the 'scientists' whose names were on the list of the group that 'supported' him.
They were each denying having any knowledge of ever supporting him. And had been attempting to get their names off of the report.
Apparently the group was never contacted for their opinion.

Hmmmm... I have read quite a bit more since the subject of Global warming came up. No matter which extreme you go to, the "We're Killing the Universe Group" or the "Hogwash Group" I think it's pretty certain we need to be better stewards of the Earth. Just the trash humans generate is enough to set off alarms. Some alternative energies are feasable and efficient but, I find that the ethanol program has serious issues. Where it does work to curb gasoline prices in some places, such as Brazils "flex engine" cars, the result is rising corn prices for human and animal consumption, causing a direct rise in food prices.

mmmm I have to admit that sounds lovely...some suntan lotion...sand in my toes...waves lapping. ah well. It's 10 here, with no wind. It actually isn't all that bad when there's no wind. My Maltese dog doesn't like it...but my new little Maine puppy loves it!
So...is this snow we got going to stay on the ground till spring now?
