Seniors housing in Machias area. (Hancock, Washington: apartments, home, living)

I'm looking for info to help my mother who lives in Machias. A move up here to NB closer to her family has its practicalities, but it may not be best for Mum's anxiety levels, familiarity of her longest home town, and small network of friends.

To find an assisted living spot for seniors (she's 78) in the Machias area, where could I start?

There is a thread in this forum on page 2 entitled "A Very Sad Story" and it links to a NYT article about Machias and surrounding towns. On that link there is a video interview with some locals pensioners and service providers, one dear lady lives in housing for the elderly in Machias and her unit appears to be comfortable. It also mentions a lady named Eleanor West who is the Director of Services at the Washington Hancock Community agency and a Constance Cox in Jonesboro Maine, who is in charge of Meals on Wheels.
