Ice harvest--provided blocks of ice to cool "ice" boxes before refrigerators were available. Apparently, ice harvesting still takes place at the Thompson Ice house during a festival in South Bristol Maine. (Yes, I'm cheating--looking in the index of my Coastal Maine Guide.)
