Both of my sons in that situation gravitated to Saco/Biddeford. They have been there for several years and really like it.

I believe the University of New England/ Westbrook campus in Portland has a PT department.

I'm a big fan of physical therapists. I ruined my shoulder 3 years ago and had it rebuilt. The Doc said he was good at what he does and if I worked at it I could get 75% of my range of motion back. I said, "Doc, You don't know me. Don't judge me by my hair color. I'm going to get 100% back." A year later I went back to thank him and to show him that I did indeed get 100% range of motion back. I could not have done it without a really good physical therapist who was excellent at what she does. It wasn't easy, but it can be done. I went and thanked my physical therapist too.
As to houses, the lower prices porter, will be a little further from Portland and the I-95 corredor. Try Baldwin, Hiram, Porter, Parsonfield, Cornish and Limington.
