It's not my intention to spam the forum, I have nothing to do with selling this building, but I came across this video on youtube and it's more about Eastport than the building he is trying to sell.

Great Video! Thanks for sharing.

Is the building still for sale? How is the neighborhood? Any of you Eastporters know about the shag gallery and building???

It looked like the mannequin had a shag carpet dress on shagalicious

You should have seen them when they were finished.

Wow! Loved the video of Eastport; (the narrators voice is very professional, sorta like the announcer on a game show). My folks lived in Eastport for a couple of years; and I do remember it as being beautiful and filled with charm--but a long long drive from central NH!

Default Price reduction update!!

This amazing building, home to the former unique Shag Gallery, is now being offered for the reduced price of $185,000.

How about we all chip in and buy it and run a farmers market/arts and crafts coop?? We could offer forest wife's soap, star's arts and crafts, mainewriters columns, photos and books in progress), real estate listings from NMLM, whofanme and maine brokerman, elcarim's optimism and enthusiasm, volumes of elston's favorite poets, msina's good cheer and best recipes, mollys unbounded energy, mrvp and 7th generation's beautiful photos, acadianlion's words of wisdom, bewitched's potions and healthy doses of cynicism, jokes and sarcasm from everyone else.....(If I have omitted anyone, please do not be insulted.... You are all so special and contribute in oh so many various ways)

I love that building!

You know every time this thread comes around I keep meaning to say how surprising it is to watch that video....the town is quite different now just down that street! There are some houses missing and some of the beautiful old trees are gone, but yet there are some nice changes too. Many of the homes down that street have now been renovated, and are beautifully done, the old A&P that sat empty for so long is now nicely redone as well. I think it's surprising because you realize that you're not even sure exactly when it all changed! Of course I lived away at the time, but still, it's an odd feeling
