Well yes.

However it would seem that somehow in my case, I do not need one.

He spotted me!

And I was not wearing a hat with my name on it.

I am curious though, "a beard down to here", hmm, how long is such a beard?

My beard is not ZZ-Top long, not yet.

But there seems to have been something about my presence that said to NMLM that I was a beekeeper.

I do not think that anything on my person 'said' bees.

My DW and I stopped in a fast food restaurant for a snack. We had an enjoyable meal. When I got up, a gentleman sitting behind me had a ball cap on that caught my eye. It said: "Northern Maine Land Man" and I got to thinking, I wonder if that is a company hat, or if it is a common hat?

And then before I could do anything else he said to me: "Are you a beekeeper"?

Now what do I smell like honey?

Do I have a few bees nestled in my beard?

As it turned out, 'Northern Maine Land Man' and I had a nice visit and I can say that my life has been enriched today.

He had once worked in a career field where he supported of a class of submarine that I later served onboard. He worked with them as the Navy was working out the kinks in developing the systems for how submarines navigate underwater and are able to launch satellites into orbit. Which is exactly the systems that I worked on when I was onboard subs.

Now how many men in Maine do you suppose have a background of such similar bend? And what would be the odds of two fine men such as that accidentally bumping into each other at a fast food restaurant.

Plus we recognized each other as members of the same men's fraternity.

Yes sirree Bob, I had a fine day today.

Great story- what a small world
Hope you two can visit with one another again!

When I met FB it was at Common Ground Fair and he looked like many other guys in that environment but I think he figured out pretty quickly I had no clue at first who he was. In the chaos of serving a constant line of customers I totally spaced that he was at the event. Perfect excuse to take a break and chat for a few moments.
